Parent Connection, The
The Parent Connection is a not-for-profit, non-discriminatory organization dedicated to supporting families and their young children. Members include stay-at-home and working parents throughout McHenry County.
The social and educational development of children is promoted through playgroups, field trips and holiday parties sponsored by The Parent Connection. In addition, parents are able to socialize and help each other learn more about parenting techniques, discipline, child development, problem, coping tips and more.
The group has been in existence since 1980 and is run by volunteers. Funding for The Parent Connection comes primarily from member’s annual dues of $20 per family. Members are encouraged to become involved in activities and to take an active role in determining the group’s activities and direction.

Meeting Days/Hours: Welcome Coffees are held the first Tuesday of the month at Panera in Crystal Lake as well and there is a monthly meeting/playdate on the third Friday of each month. The group also offers ongoing twice weekly playdates at rotating locations, grownups nights out and special events.
